Repair — Modernisation of the Rail-over-road Bridge in km 5.875 of the Warsaw Commuter Railway (WKD) Warszawa Śródmieście – Grodzisk Mazowiecki Radońska

The project completed by the consortium of Intop Warszawa Sp. z o.o. as the Leader and INTOP Tarnobrzeg Sp. z o.o. as the Partner.

The scope of works:

  • Load-bearing spans of the bridge with respect to their insulation, corrosion and drainage,
  • Bearings and lower bossage with respect to the maintenance of steel components and reinstatement of the original condition of the steel structure components,
  • Support structure components by corrosion protection of the concrete surfaces,
  • Clearing the space under the bridge spans by removing shrubs and volunteer trees,
  • Making new slope steps,
  • Replacement of the service deck pavements and corrosion protection of the steel bridge railings,
  • Cleaning and protection of transverse expansion joints on the abutments with new structures of those joints, making new tight covers of such expansion joints,
  • Assessment of the condition of welding seams and sheets of the ballast troughs and the conditions of repairing them after the ballast is removed,
  • Extension of the abutment wings to enable to maintain the railroad surface on the access roads properly,
  • Replacement of the electric shock protection above the tracks of Warsaw – Radom line,
  • Accompanying works, site cleaning, construction site protection.
