Modernisation of 16 engineering structures at Pilichowice – Olszamowice route” under the project called “Modernisation of Railway Line no. 4 Central Railway Main Line, stage 2”
The modernisation of 16 engineering structures is carried out by the consortium composed of Intop Warszawa Sp. z o.o. (Leader) and SARINŻ Sp. z o.o. (Partner). The structures included in the task:

The contract comprises engineering works, reconstruction of drainage system and removal of trees and shrubs.
The method statement provides for the execution of all building works on the structures in two stages, using the partial closure method of the work execution:
Stage I — building works during all-day closures in track no. 1, with a simultaneous traffic in track no. 2, with the train speed of 120 km/h.
Stage II — building works during all-day closures in track no. 2, with a simultaneous traffic in track no. 1, with the train speed of 120 km/h.

Redevelopment of the engineering structure — a two-opening culvert in km 106.872, with the effective length of 2x22.70 m, horizontal clearance 2x1.50 m and vertical clearance 1.50 m. The demolition of the existing structure with its facilities and the construction of a new culvert from pre-cast box components in its place.

Revitalisation of the engineering structure — a three-opening culvert in km 108.233, with the effective length 3x29.93 m, horizontal clearance 3x2.00 m and vertical clearance 2.00 m. Repair works.

Redevelopment of the engineering structure — a three-opening culvert in km 110.584, with the effective length of 3x16.42 m, horizontal clearance 3x1.00 m and vertical clearance 1.00 m. The demolition of the existing structure with its facilities and the construction of a new culvert from pre-cast box components in its place.

The demolition of the existing structure frame with facilities and construction of a new bridge with the composite steel and concrete frame (steel beams covered with concrete).
The modernisation is to adapt the structures to the possible passenger train speed increase to 250 km/h at the line.
